Specialized Inpatient Care at Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health
Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health offers specialized inpatient services for adults, providing comprehensive care for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric crises. Our facility ensures a safe and structured environment, where patients receive 24/7 support from a dedicated team of mental health professionals including Medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Licenses Social Workers, Therapists, Addiction Counselors, Art and Music Therapists, Case Managers, Dietitians, Certified Peer Specialist, Mental Health Technicians, Certified Yoga instructors and Support and Administrative Staff members. Medical and Clinical professionals work collaboratively to create individualized treatment plans for patients, addressing both the mental and physical aspects of their health. We conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations performed by board-certified psychiatrists and develop individualized, multidisciplinary treatment plans.
Our evidence-based therapies include individual and group counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, and pharmacotherapy for those in need of medication management. Patients participate in therapeutic activities designed to enhance coping skills and emotional resilience while receiving education about their mental health conditions and any co-occurring disorders. We prioritize collaboration with patients, their families, and local providers during discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition to appropriate outpatient services, ongoing therapy, and medication management.
